Lucky

It's both a blessing and a curse to live in NYC. It's the best place to shop with all the sample sales that happen almost every week, but at the same time they can do some serious damage to one's bank account. My bank account took a beating this weekend when I went to the annual Lucky Shops. It's my annual shopping mecca. This must be at least the 3rd time I've been to Lucky Shops. The only downside is that there's no re-entry, so once you're in there you can't sneak out for a snack. I survived the day with complimentary coffee, coke zero, chips and gelato. Otherwise, it's a fashionista's paradise: designers featured in Lucky gathered in one place selling their products at deeply discounted prices. And so the damage was done, one furry jacket and three pairs of shoes later.

My first purchase: a Vena Cava furry jacket.

He may be one of the few guys that was there, and he was a staff!

The stream of shoppers!

The origami dress at See by Chloé for $100!

The bar for complimentary drinks.

It's 3 p.m.! Shoppers gather around the bar for much needed cocktails. Shopping can be stressful.

Free alteration, how awesome is that?

The mayhem.

Tired shoppers.

Emerged with my spoils of the day.
